Covenant & Connection Couples Therapy Session- 2.5 hours
Attachment repair, communication reset, and a spirit-led alignment to marriage.
Designed for engaged and married partners who want a deep, focused intensive, this 150-minute session helps you repair trust, improve communication, and realign your relationship with your shared covenant values. Guided by Ethnotraumatology and the AIAER Model (Assess, Inform, Apply, Empower, Resilience), we integrate EFT- and Gottman-informed strategies with CBT/DBT communication skills, boundary-setting, and rupture-to-repair practices—honoring culture, identity, and faith as strengths. With your consent, we incorporate spirit-led elements (e.g., prayer, scripture/rituals consistent with your tradition) to support alignment to marriage.
What to expect
Structured intensive (150 min): brief joint check-in → attachment & trauma mapping → communication skill-building & conflict de-escalation → covenant alignment work (values/vision/roles) → action planning.
You’ll leave with: a shared Covenant Map, a Communication Reset Plan, simple repair rituals for after conflict, and a 2-week practice plan with between-session exercises.
Format: in person or secure telehealth (short break included).
Who it’s for: engaged or married couples seeking restoration, clarity, or premarital/renewal preparation.
Not appropriate for: active interpersonal violence/coercive control or immediate safety concerns—those are referred to specialized services. If you’re in danger, call 911 or 988.
Payment: Private-pay accepted (Debit/Credit/HSA).
Follow-ups: Many couples book a 60–90 min individual session 1–2 weeks later to reinforce skills and track progress. The follow up session is usually a month later.
