The University of Ethnotrauma Science & Research® (UESR) is the first academic institution dedicated to advancing the study, practice, and certification of Ethnotraumatology™. Founded in collaboration with Dr. Lisseth London, UESR provides education, research, and training that integrates the biopsychosocial-spiritual model with a culturally rooted, trauma-informed lens.
Our mission is to equip professionals, leaders, and communities to understand and address trauma in ways that reflect the lived experiences of Black, Indigenous, and Diverse Ethnic Communities (BIDEC)™ globally.
Ethnotraumatologist Specialist™ Certification
The Ethnotraumatologist Specialist™ certification is the flagship credential of UESR, offered in partnership with Lisseth London Global Consulting (LLGC)®.
Program Highlights:
Over 60 hours of advanced training and practicum.
Grounded in the AIAER Model™ (Assess • Inform • Apply • Empower • Resilience) for implementation.
Integrates Forward-Facing® Trauma Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Ethnotraumatology™ practices alongside community-based and culturally grounded healing traditions—such as storytelling, collective resilience models, indigenous wisdom practices, and spiritual care frameworks—ensuring a holistic approach to trauma and resilience.
This way, the program reflects both recognized clinical methods and non-Western, community-centered approaches that align with your Ethnotraumatology™ philosophy.
